Born and raised on the streets of San Pablo, California, Frederic Ward- also known as KAiROS- started his musical journey when he was 3. His parents had introduced him to an old Acoustic Guitar. It was at this moment that Frederic found his passion- music.
He first became interested in the electronic music scene in 2013, when his favorite artist at the time - Skrillex - inspired him to become a producer. KAiROS began making Dubstep at the age of 9, using a free program named LMMS.
In 2014, Frederic was just a normal kid who also happened to produce Dubstep. Like any normal kid, he was watching YouTube. One day, he noticed a progressive house tutorial on YouTube's homepage. He decided to ignore it for quite a while, confusing Progressive House with Muzak(elevator music). The video stayed on the homepage for weeks on end, so he decided to finally watch the video. This is where he was awkwardly introduced to Progressive House. He immediately changed his mind about it after he watched the video. He thought it was the best thing in the world, and he wanted to know more and more about it.
As the years passed, he practiced producing more often. He began producing genres like Trap, Dubstep, Big Room, and Future House.
He went from using LMMS to Reaper, then to Ableton, and to FL Studio 12, which he still uses today.
On June 16, 2015, KAiROS released his first dubstep track- Anthem of the Clouds. Sadly, it did not gain very much recognition online; As of December 25, 2016, it has still only been listened to 132 times. That did not stop him, though. One year later, he released his bootleg of Kanye by the Chainsmokers. This is his first track to garner 446 plays. On August 6th, 2016, he released a house edit of CARTOON's track- On And On. This track definitely took KAiROS by surprise. It was his first track to gain up to 5,103 plays on SoundCloud, and 34,490 views on YouTube.
That same year, he found a message in his inbox by a 17-year-old that went by the name of Crab-X. He told KAiROS that he really liked his music, and offered to help him grow. Just about two weeks after that message, KAiROS had seen a repost by Unbox Therapy Music on his mashup of KSHMR/Tigerlily's track 'Invisible Children' and Tiesto/Mike Williams' track 'I Want You'. That mashup managed to receive 7,143 plays on SoundCloud in a matter of 17 days.
KAiROS' career as of now has been one that came with a lot of confusion. He still has a long way to go before he gets to the mainstage, but the world should be expecting big things from him in the future.
